What carrier is best while in Mexico?

as in the reception, which carrier is the best while just visiting or traveling in Mexico?

We've had good luck with Cingular, which is now part of AT&T, I think... because it works with TelMex.  A long time ago we used Nextel but only did the walkie talkie function between the US and Mexico, so that probably isn't too helpful for you.  We called home to check on our family a lot (using Cingular) while on our last long road trip through mainland Mexico, and the reception was so clear, it sounded like my mother was in the next room rather than a thousand miles away.  So that is the one I would recommend.  We've now switched again to Verizon, but not used it in Mexico yet.   Maybe someone with Verizon will have an answer about that service.

I used Sprint while traveling in Mexico and had absolutely no problems with the service. I'm sorry I can't be of more help!

The one with 97% of the market and owner of the biggest GSM provider is TELCEL, so you can set it up on the network when you go to Mexico.
