For the last 3+ weeks I've been in possession of a cat who was abandoned in my elderly neighbor's apartment. He fell and was taken to the hospital in late May, and the poor cat somehow survived alone in his apartment for 2 months before the landlord and I found her.
She's adjusted to me and my place, though she's still quite timid and keeps to herself alot. If she's on the bed/couch and I sit on it, she takes off. Though she does seek attention now regularly.
So anyway, whenever she hears the crinkly bag of potato chips or a similar sounding wrapper, she gets excited and jumps onto the couch/bed, starts purring and rubbing her head all over me. I've given her a chip but she's not interested in it.
I've no idea what type of treat she associates with this sound. Does anyone have a guess?
An odd thing about her is she's not interested in people food much at all. She's refused chicken, tuna/tuna water, sardines, beef etc. So I'm really curious about whatever this is that she loves.
