  1. The death of Massasuit and his son Wamsutta.  They had been working to maintain peace.

    King Phillip was Massasuit's other son.

    A Christian Native American warned the plymouth colony that King Phillip was planning on raiding the perimeter villages.  He was soon after killed, and the plymouth residents blamed King Phillip's men.


  2. If your talking about the war that took place in the Farmington River valley, you should be able to go to the Ct dept of history, and get that information. I do remember  that it was rumored that he sat in a cave on Avon mountain and watched as his men burnt Simsbury, supposedly due to some infringement on his territory, but I'm sure there was more  to it than that.
