  1. dont worry these people are "cholos de acero" never died even if they drink "racumin"

  2. I just read that story I'm guessing it was the smell that the meteor put off.  You know how certain smells can make you sick I think it was the gas and the smell.

  3. I have four possibilities; I'll put my percentage likelihood beside each:

    1) It never happened. The whole things is like a tabloid news story. You would be unable to find a credible witness and it supposedly happened in Peruvian jungle. (49%)

    2) Radiation: the meteor contains a radioactive substance. This would explain boiling water and the sickness symptoms seem like radiation sickness. (15%)

    3) Coincidence or mass hysteria - people only think they're sick or one person was sick and others became certain they were too (35%)

    4) Bacteria or virus or other organic life - the meteor carried a bug (1%)

I have a further predicition which supports my percentages. I predict that although this could be very, very amazing and you'd think that scientists would immediately begin study, you won't hear or see much more of this. It will fade from the news stories and two weeks from now you'll wonder "Whatever became of that meteor story from Peru?"

    The truth is out there

  4. The area is volcanic with  'Misty' an active volcano near by and an entire field of fumaroles in the area.  The meteorite penetrated deep into the permafrost and severed volcanic tubes or vents which caused the ice in the permafrost to melt and boil.  Additionally the sulfurous gasses escaping caused the nausea.  Just a natural reaction on our planet and the above is a logical explanation.

  5. Boiling water started coming out of the crater and particles of rock and cinders were found nearby. This just happened and the news are calling it a "mysterious illness". Hopefully we will know in the next upcoming days.

Amazing story, devastating though for the ones infected.
