Why did I faint after my cast/splint removal after my septorhinoplasty? When they finished, I was standing at the desk for about 5 minutes waiting to make my next appointment. I felt dizzy, then I fainted, waking up a second later. Why did this happen?

  1. Because you hadn't eaten.

    You were dehydrated.

    You stood up too quickly.

    Your blood sugar was low.

    You were locking your knees.

You were having side effects of medication.

You were anxious (subconciously) about something and stopped breathing momentarily (I have done that before)

When people faint it's because their blood sugar drops or they don't get enough oxygen or blood flow to the brain. They can also faint when they stand up after long periods of time sitting down.

Check out this page, it will help you to find a cause.

How to find out?  Next time you start feeling faint..eat a candy bar or drink O.J...if you get right then you have low etc....  Talk to your doc....HUGS!!
