I live in Florida and was just visited by Fay. After the storm passed I discovered my pool had about two foot less water. Is it possible the wind sucked or blew it out. It is an inground pool. I am baffeled.

  1. In my opinion, yes, it would be possible for the wind to have blown away what was being blown above the pool's top surface. I have some friends who have relatives there now, and I have heard how bad the damage is. God be with you all.

  2. A slightly different answer:

Sometimes when pools get so full of water that they are almost overflowing, the water can get into the pool light conduit, the water then siphons out through the conduit, down to the level of where the cable enters the pool. It then won't leak again until the water gets high enough to start the siphoning effect again.

If it does it again, and the water stops at the level of the light, then thats what it is - and you owe me a beer.

  3. look at email

  4.      VERY POSSIBLE...In case it didn't though you should check the operational condition of the pump/s..if they're fine then the storm probably did do it.
