  2. A substation in South Florida failed. But, it's safety shutdown mechanism failed as well. That caused a flux in the grid which resulted in generating stations shutting down as they are designed to do to protect their equipment. The reactors at Turkey Point were included in that shutdown which resulted in loss of electrical power to millions of people from Central to South Florida.
