  1. They had a strike in the 80s or 90s i believe over VHS or DVD, and missed out on a lot of money.

    Now with the internet making so much money, they wanted to get a defined cut of it.

    As always, its about money. Causing millions of dollars in entertainment industry is just collateral damage.
