  1. If you are overfilling the cleaning solution tank or not emptying the take up tank often enough it will stop sucking up the dirty water. There is a float inside the take-up tank that will get sucked up against the take up hose in order to keep it from overflowing. Too much water in the take up tank or moving the whole unit too vigorously can activate the float. You will hear a noticeable difference in the sound of the vacuum if the float has been activated. It is time to empty the take-up tank when you hear this difference. If it has been activated because you were pushing the machine back and forth too vigorously you simply need to turn the power off for about 15 seconds until the float drops back down and then restart and go slow and steady.


  2. Check all filters.  Does it have a water tank? Perhaps it is full.  Something may be clogged.  Take it apart and clean it.

    Did it turn over?  It is clogged.  Water is dirty.
