  1. well probably fences aren't set right stride length.. some horses have small strides so if you put 3 large strides its like 3 1/2 strides for them. It  can be fixed but you need to work on collected and extended cantering or legnthing and shorting your  strides. It could be your horse isn't tucking its hind end under him  or her. so in return you need to work on more turn on the honches.. so they  have to rock back on their butt.

Thier could be  speed problem if thier going to slow they aren't jumping  early  eneough thier jumping late or i f they are  rushing their jumping too soon and cant get their hind end over

  2. chip? as in knock it with his feet when he jumps it?

    [edit]

okay so if you are talking about jumping, then you also might want to make sure you are cueing him at the correct time. remember that horses dont have the best 3d vision, because of where their eyes are set. good luck.

  3. i would make sure he is set up for the stride and make sure its a good distance

  4. u got too close to the jump, so they're forced to either chip in or take off long.

  5. Well from past experiece i can reveal that they feel trapped and sometimes want to break free (like the queen song)

Horses also chip fences when they want carrots..give them more

it will also help them see int eh dark

  6. Ya your right so u squeeze when they do it!
