What causes a "chill down your spine"? ?

Scienficily speaking, Everytime I hear this song :http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DIA7uzcjiTw&NR=1

I keep getting chills, in a good way...It like they start from my frontal lobe and like a wave move throughout my body. So Scietificly, why does this happen?

  1. Chills down your spine come from a lot of things. Based on what info you've given us though, I would say that you are getting some mild form of a flashback. I get chills down my spine when I hear certain songs just because it brings me back.

    You also could just be getting a chill because the song is amazingly awesome to you.

  3. Chills down your spine in a good way, is the gamut of emotions you reflect on while the music is being played.  The seat for these pictures of pleasant memories come from the frontal lobe.

    The frontal lobe contains most of the dopamine-sensitive neurons in the cerebral cortex. The dopamine system is associated with pleasure, long-term memory, planning, and drive. transmitted by the limbic system or the hypothalamus.
