What causes acid rain?

The adulterated (polluted) water. When the water gets ready to become percipitation, then it becomes acid rain. This effects into the detoritation of statues and rust.

It is caused by pollution in water that is evaporated in to the clouds with the water and falls as rain but causes harm to any plans or animals that absorb it.

I believe it's when the air is so polluted, that when it actually does rain, the rain droplets pick up contaminates that are present in the air and carry them down to the ground
