What causes an area shake or area quake?

The Bible has something to say about area quake in particular and an earth quake (global shake where all man-made structures and mountains can be flatten down into debris and dusts). Just ask the Truth Caster for more info...

  1. earthqaukes are started by the tetonic plates moving and banging into each other causing a earthqauke near the where the tetonic plates banged into each other....usaully it's not that frequent in HUGE EARTHQAUKES but it's starting to change....the world is falling....apart..

  3. This is a good thing to share with us.  He can make anything happen.  But Earthquakes happen by fractures being made in the faults, now what makes the world rotate and paleomagnetism, plate tectonics, gravity and how all of this fits to together we should give the credit to the One an only.

  5. A rolling 6.8 earthquake hit a large area of the Pacific Northwest Wednesday morning, damaging buildings, causing scattered power outages and rattling nerves over a wide area. Dozens of mostly minor injuries were reported.

    Gov. Gary Locke within hours declared a state of emergency in Western Washington. Seattle Mayor Paul Schell and King County Executive Ron Sims also declared states of emergency.

    President Bush sent a representative to Washington state and said his administration "stands ready to help in any way we can."

    The state was rocked by two other major quakes in the past century. In 1949, a quake centered near Olympia registered 7.1 and killed eight people. In 1965, a quake measuring 6.5 hit the Seattle-Tacoma area, killing seven.The red tail light on one of two cars that were smashed like pancakes was still shining accross the street from the exhibition center near the safeco field in Seattle after a 6.8 earthquake.  

    Sea-Tac Airport was ordered closed Wednesday while the terminals were inspected. Airport officials said a window broke in the control tower and there was damage in the north satellite.

    The FAA said airlines were being allowed to decide whether to resume flights into and out of Sea-Tac, but that the airport was not at full capacity late Wednesday. Boeing Field also was closed.In addition, major freeways in the Seattle area were clogged as people left work early. In Olympia, all state offices were ordered closed. The dome of the Capitol had a visible crack.Glenn Woodbury, Washington’s emergency management director, said Olympia was so hard hit that government employees may have no place to work. "We have yellow-tagged every state building on the Olympia campus," he said. "Structural engineers have examined all the buildings and concluded that they are not safe to occupy."

    A number of buildings also were badly damaged in Seattle's historic Pioneer Square area, where rioting occurred just the night before during Mardi Gras celebrations.
