What causes and how to cure Shin (front lower leg) pain during and after running on any surface?

  1. ok i run a lot! and the one thing that causes shin splints is bad running shoes. you need to have shoes with a good heel support and shock absorber. also make sure that when you are running you can barley hear your feet( i run with a group and we always remind each other). also make sure you roll your feet heel to toe when you run so you are not putting all of your pressure on your toes. unfortenatly there is no cure except to rest it and run correctly, but make sure you do the things i listed above or your shin splits could become very bad and you might have to discontinue running. i hope this helps!
