what do you mean by chest indrawing? I can tell you pneumonia is caused by bacteria entering the lungs causing inflammation. the question needs to be a bit more specific maybe then i can help more

If you mean in an infant...when babies have trouble breathing it looks like their chest is sucking in by the ribs.  Its called retractions and it shows that the child is working way to hard to breathe.  You dont usually see this in adults as pronounced as in children.
