Is it simply chance, or does it have to do with the brand, and how old the condom is?

  1. Condoms can lead to breakage due to a few overlooked reasons. The main one is that water based lubricant is not used, a lot of people go for saliva, which can also contribute to the breakage. Water based lubricant keeps the condom from drying out and allows the condom more stretching motion thus reducing breakage. Any oil formed lubricant or household items such as butter, whipped cream, sorbolene cream etc. can deteriorate the condom and cause it to break.

Another is the expiry date. With condoms you should always check the expiry date to ensure that you are using it during its best quality phase. using it outside it's date will almost ensure its unreliability. Each condom had it's expiry date written on each individual condom.

Condoms are very sensitive to heat and light and should only be removed from the package directly before intercouse and make sure the condom is applied properly and well lubricated to avoid nicks and tears from fingernails or rough handling.

  2. if it rubs to long it can break and the more the rub the higher the chance it has to  break

  3. if the condom is too tight and there isn't any room for the sperm and stuff then it can break. also if you put on two then they rub and tear
