Tectonic plates which are like  pieces of a puzzle that fit in together and are constantly moving which causes earthquakes...earthquakes occur all the time but they are of low magnitude...so we dont feel them

Tectonic plates are gradually moving, which can cause them to grind together at times.

The techtonic plates on which land is on, that's why countries right on a fault line(the crack between two or more plates) get alot of earthquakes because they are grinding against eachother
