What causes f***s in the chest of infants?

The child is so backed up, that it is in his chest. Can this be fatal?

Can the mother do anything to prevent this?

Yes Yes Yes, Get the child into emergency right NOW !!!!!! It sound like a bowel obstruction and the child has aspirated f***s into their lungs.Call 911. Since there are no intestines in the chest, there can be no f***s in the chest.  If someone told you that, they were just exaggerating to make a point.  Either that, or pulling your leg.

To the nurse, I think it is probably impossible to aspirate f***s from the bowel.  Just a guess, but I think it is pretty tough to do, since they are not connected, and they are supposed to be separated by the diaphram.  To the question, if the child is impacted, the child needs to go to the doctor as soon as possible.  The longer you wait, the worse it gets, and it can kill.  So, get the kid to a doctor and ask him/her the question.  Good luck.
