    How to Prevent Forest Fires

_Step1_Form a small group or join a local team that cleans leaves and any plant growth on the soil bed of thick forests. This helps to remove dry brush that can fuel a fire in the forest.

_Step2_Be careful when smoking cigarettes in the forest. Extinguish them completely and do not throw butts near trees or dry leaves.

_Step3_Park your vehicles away from the trees and dry areas of the forest. Any fluid or fuel leakage from the cars can help start a fire.

_Step4_Completely extinguish your camp fire if you have been camping in the forest. Pour water in the burning twigs for added safety. Also avoid using candles and matches inside your tent. Keep combustible liquids and alcohol inside tightly sealed containers.

_Step5_Refrain from using fireworks in or near a forest. Fires can spread very quickly if sparks from fire crackers reach dry leaves in the forest.

_Step6_Use caution when cooking on an open flame or grill in your backyard. Unattended fires can contribute to nearby forest fires.

_Step7_Avoid spilling any industrial waste near forests. The wastes are normally toxic in nature and can prove to be one of the major causes of forest fires.

  2. very high temperatures and any campers who create campfires and sing the campfire song...some twigs and branches that are very dry are obviously prone to develop forest fires, and because of low humidity they're dry so with the high temperatures

  4. today many are started on purpose by evil pyromaniacs

Some are accidental from sloppy camp fires and cigarettes thrown out of car windows

And from broken glass that magnifies the suns rays in the trash dumped in so many places ,on the edges of roads or settlements.

But the bulk may well be slash and burning gone out of control by farmers invading the edges of wilderness

Or burning dry grass because it is a fire risk (yes ironical) or to hurry up the green new growth that always follows,

Most of these activities did not exist a hundred years ago.

to prevent this each factor has to be aproached

  5. Many causes, better forest management for prevention

  6. Common causes include lightning, human carelessness, arson, volcano eruption, and pyroclastic cloud from active volcano. Heat waves, droughts, and cyclical climate changes such as El Niño can also have a dramatic effect on the risk of wildfires.
