What causes green flames on my gas barbeque grill ?

  1. You might try adjusting the shutter, where air is drawn into the tube leading to the burner.  It should burn with a blue color, when the air & gas mixture is proportioned correctly.


  2. Every element emits a characteristic set of light colors when it is heated.  Green is typically emitted by copper.  My guess is that there is copper in the burner.
