  1. No one knows the cause. I assume you are referring to canker sores. They are suspected to be a reaction of the immune system and are not contagious.

  2. Don't know how to explain this too well, but foods are split into "hot" and "cool" categories. Eating too many "hot" foods is a reason for ulcers (and this does not refer to the temperature of the food you eat, so don't go freezing everything to avoid ulcers; it won't work). For example, mandarins are "hot" foods, and bananas are "cool" foods. You might want to look up a list.

I also get a ton of ulcers when I eat products with lots of MSG in them.

  3. It could be genetic.

I get them all the time for no reason and so does my dad and a few of his sisters.

Some people think they're caused by acidic foods but I'm not too sure about that.

All I know is that they're being passed down through my family!

  4. Some times jst irritation of the food you eat

  5. Hmmm... I do sometimes get ulcers for no reason... but my ulcers usually appear after I've bitten my lip or cheek. I have a few small ones on my bottom lip right now, and they're killing me. I have braces and the biggest ulcer is touching one. It kills! Btw, I never knew about that hot and cold thing. Maybe it's because of the level of citrus acid in madarins. Hmm... I think a few banana's are in order...
