  1. I HAVE A 98 Z/71 5.7 VORTEC THE FIX IS EASY ITS THE KNOCK SENSOR


    RANDOM MISSFIRE IS A BAD KNOCK SENSOR NOT SENDING INFO TO THE COMPUTER TO ADJUST THE TIMING ADVANCE OR RETARDING IT.


    IT WILL RANDOM MISSFIRE ON A HILL OR UNDER A LOAD IT CANNOT ADJUST THE TIMING ACCORDING TO THE ENGINE NEEDS.

  2. had same problem ended up being the cap and rotor. The rotor had a bit of corrosion so start here.Originally changed all the plugs and fuel filter to find it was the cap and rotor good luck,


  3. where is the fule pressure reulator at


     


  4. check the fuel pressure regulator and the plenum gasket.

  5. It is likely to be corrosion in the distributor cap.
