  1. Could be:

    - virus (scan you pc)

    - low memory ( upgrade )

    - disk space nearly full (delete unnecessary files)

    - too many open programs at the same time ( do not open them at the

      same time )

    - over heat ( over use could cause this)

  2. Yes, there's a solution, but unfortunately, there's not just one single reason why a computer hangs up.  You didn't supply any information about how and when it hangs up.

It might be due to virus or antispyware.  It could be bad programs.  It could be your hard drive, or RAM are too small and insufficient to properly process all the information it needs to.  Also, how old is the computer, what windows do you have running on it.  There are many things why it may hang up.  Just as there may be many reasons why your car isn't running good.

If you don't know much about computers, I'd suggest take it to a local computer store to get their opinion.  Of course, many times, they'll try to sell you a new computer anyway.  Try places that might have a $25 test fee, they inspect computer and give you their suggestion.  Then you're not out much money, and don't have to commit to buying something you might not want or need.

  3. no

  4. The computer is machine and as in every machine it needs maintenance. Neglect killed it.

  5. Not really possible to determine that type of thing without someone that knows what they are doing looking at your PC. Could be too many things to try and diagnose over the internet like this.

More info like what your doing when it happens might help, what type of programs you run, what your system specs are, etc.

I wouldn't suggest calling Geek Squad or anything but if you know anyone that works with computers that won't rip you off, get them to look at it.

Usually slow performance indicates a hardware problem or malware/spyware/virus infection, but like I said without seeing your screen with a remote tool or being there, we can't really help much.
