  1. CFC's is the number one contributor to ozone depletion.

    * Chlorofluorocarbons (CFCs) are compounds containing carbon, chlorine and fluorine.

    * Chlorofluorocarbons (CFCs) are sold under the trade name of Freons.

    * Used as working fluids in refrigerators and air conditioners because they are gases at room temperature which can be easily liquefied by compression and because they are stable and non-toxic

    * Used as foaming agents in the production of polystyrene and polyurethane foam plastics used for insulation and packing materials

    * Used as a propellant in spray cans for paint, insect repellents, deodorants

Many companies that used CFC's in their product have since stopped during the 1980's.

We have actually solved this problem by decreasing the use of CFC's.  But, you personally can't do anything to stop ozone depletion.  Although, you can help the planet in other ways by recycling and reducing your carbon footprint.

  2. Cow farts!!!! NO, SERIOUSLY!!!

  3. CFC's   chloroflurocarbons

the ozone is made from the O3 molecule, this relects UV rays and cosmic radiation, CFC's break this molecule down to O2 (oxygen) which does not relflect this!

    hope that helps

  4. Ozone is colourlees gass, found in stratosphere( upper atmosphere) and highly beneficial. Ozone layer in stratosphere is depleting due to the emission of pollutants like aerosol, chloro fluro carbon (CFC) into atmosphere.

You can help by using Non CFC fridge & Air conditioner and should not burn plastics.
