What causes people to be ticklish?

like what causes that sensation? why r some people more ticklish than others? and why arent some people ticklish at all?

I think its hereditary. My oldest son and I are like

20 on a tickling scale of 10,(both of us have been

tickled by people until we passed out or went

into convulsions) but my wife, my daughter and

other 2 sons aren't ticklish at all. My Mom and Dad

weren't ticklish but my Grandma who was full-

blood Sioux was horribly ticklish like me and said

it was a trait of the human beings, (Native Americans).

I've noticed Asian guys are usually very ticklish but

Latins and Europeans aren't.

What causes the sensation? It's hyper-sensitive

nerves on certain parts of the body of ticklish people.

Like with me if someone holds me down and tickles

my bare foot bottoms it sends jolts of electricity up

my legs, up my spine and into my brain and I start

laughing and screaming without being able to control it.

I guess it's like some people are born with brown hair,

some red and some blonde. You either are born with

"tickling nerves" or you're not.

i love cheese,I think what it is is the sensitivity of our skin on our body.  If there is a place on your body that is super-sensitive,Just a touch from your finger will cause a thrilling sensation in your body which will cause one to laugh.  For me,And I'm not afraid to say it,I am very ticklish in most parts of my body.  Sometimes if one tickles me too much,Just the sensation of that someone tickling me will cause me to laugh or giggle and twitch nervously.  Some people who aren't as ticklish might not have these sensitive spots on their body.  And it is a shame because it feels really good to be tickled.  I'd almost say that it is almost as good of a feeling as the feeling you get after making sweet love to a beautiful woman.  Truly sensational,Truly satisfying.  I've gotta split.  I hope that this answer pleases you.  If not,Then I am terribly sorry.  Have a goodnight and God bless.  Bye for now.
