  1. Maybe some Allen's' persevered and overcame their challenges, inspiring others to believe in the Toms', Richard's, and Harry's' too...........

    And then one day, a man had a vision.

    A vision of a book that would contain all the words in the English language.

    That man, was Noah Webster.

    Now we will know the difference between the Allen's and the Aliens............

  2. What is an allen?

  3. I think they're just wondering who's driving those space ships.I think they know they're not remote control crafts.

  4. the universe is a big place. It would be kind of sad if we were alone.

  5. A disregard or distrust of reality, wishful thinking and an eagerness to interpret any anomaly as having an ET source.

    Some might say this is the perfect formula for anything paranormal.

  6. Do you have any idea of how many people have actually seen flying craft that does not behave like anything produced by known technology?   There was recently a TV show about the 10 most famous UFO sightings, and some of them took place in very populated areas over an extended period of time.  They were not only seen by many people but photographed as well.

    Of course, there was always some "explanation" given by skeptics.

  7. coz they get anally abused after they get drunk by those around and when they wake up the same ones who did it say they saw nothing or did nothing....thats the reason.

  8. Because even someone named Allen deserves love.

  9. I personally feel as though it is an extremely old tradition.  In order to explain things that people did not understand, they often contributed it to the paranormal and extra terrestrial. This tradition continues today because there are still natural and artificial things that may happen around us or in the sky that we do not understand

  10. Aliens were evidenced in not only the Bible, early Mayan, Chinese, and German paintings, but in the most primitive of cavemen's sketches as well. Much of our modern-day intelligence is believed to be credited to alien forces; and UFO sightings have occured since the beginning of recorded history (as evidenced in multiple ancient paintings.) Top-secret government property (Area 51, most notably) was denied for years, until, upon a public leak, people began to question the goings-on there. Robert Lazar was one of several former government agents to reveal what occured in this top-secret military base; he claims to have run tests on alien spacecraft in order to back-engineer it and find out how it was made. Aliens are not simply figments of multiple people's imaginations; they are logical components in a widespread belief that the universe cannot harbour only one species on one minsicule planet. Think about it...were that the case, would it not be more frightening to think we were all alone?

  11. In almost all cases where people believe in aliens as opposed to why people believe in their religion is -first hand experience period!

  12. This universe is too large a place and its quite hard to believe that we are the only form of live that exist. As compared to the universe our planet is not even a mere speck of dust. So its not practical and sane to negate the theory of extra terrestrial life i.e, aliens....

  13. this is too funny!  I can't be a smart @@1!!.

    Seriously, I think people do believe in them because they have had some kind of contact, i.e., Close Encounters of the First, Second and Third Kinds, and fourth (see also: http://paul.rutgers.edu/~cwm/MUFON/fi-ma... )

    I have personally witnessed a ufo at close range.  It was triangular with three lights at each corner, I watched it fly above me with no sound whatsoever, then it slowly started cloaking into nothing.  I was able to confirm that this was not one of our crafts by contacting the FAA, they did explain that the maneuvers this craft was performing was nothing any of our crafts could perform.

    Personally, I believe there could be intelligent life out there.  Who are we to believe we are the only civilization in the vast universe.

  14. waakakakaka...may be allen is a beautiful name?

  15. The Drake equation states that:

        N = R^{\ast} \times f_p \times n_e \times f_{\ell} \times f_i \times f_c \times L \!

    where:

        N is the number of civilizations in our galaxy with which communication might be possible;

    and

        R* is the average rate of star formation in our galaxy

        fp is the fraction of those stars that have planets

        ne is the average number of planets that can potentially support life per star that has planets

        fℓ is the fraction of the above that actually go on to develop life at some point

        fi is the fraction of the above that actually go on to develop intelligent life

        fc is the fraction of civilizations that develop a technology that releases detectable signs of their existence into space

        L is the length of time such civilizations release detectable signals into space.

    The number of stars in the galaxy now, N*, is related to the star formation rate R* by

        N^{\ast} = \int_0^{T_g} R^{\ast}(t) dt , \,\!,

    where Tg is the age of the galaxy. Assuming for simplicity that R* is constant, then N* = R* Tg and the Drake equation can be rewritten into an alternate form phrased in terms of the more easily observable value, N*.[2]

        N = N^{\ast} \times f_p \times n_e \times f_{\ell} \times f_i \times f_c \times L / T_g \,\!

    The first website is where you can fill in your own numbers and get an answer. Wikipedia is where I got the equation itself. As for myself, I believe in aliens, because it would be a waste of space otherwise. The universe is too old for there not to be someone out there who's intelligent, and I hope that one day, they land on the White House lawn in the middle of a live press conference.

    That should throw the Secret Service for a loop, lol.

  16. once someone is given the name allen, ppl start to believe, hey maybe this person really does exist..

  17. I believe in allens!  I know a guy called Allen.

  18. Lack of education.

    Oh, assuming you mean Aliens that is. But if you do actually mean Allans, well now that is whole other story...

  19. Ever since I saw my first Woody Allen movie, I've believed in Allens.

  20. I guess because the Allens parents chose to name them Allen and place an e where the A should be. . Aliens on the other had is another matter. From the beginning of time humans have looked to the Sky's expecting to see visitors.*

  21. Of the whole ENTIRE universe, to think that we're the ONLY ones is absolutely foolish. Now aliens may be somewhere near Earth, or they may be somewhere very far from Earth, so far that we will never even find them, but I believe that whatever part of the universe they may be in, they do exist.
