What causes people to go gray so early?

I started going gray at 16. Now I'm 23 and I notice a lot more white hairs. What is the cause of that? Also my grandma always had white hair, from when she was born, my cousin always had a patch of white hair since his childhood, and my uncle also had a white patch in his hair. I never had patches of white hair, it just started popping up when I was 16. Is this genetics? Is this going to continue and I will have completely white hair by 30? Please help, thanks!

Genetics, stress, smoking (if you smoke)... they all play a role.

You can always use hair color... just pick one closest to your natural color. If you are comfortable with that.

Stress can couse gray hair, but in some people it's just heriditary (SP?) to start graying early...
