Being segregated and seeing the diff. of how others get treated, but still to, people of a same race judge others the same for how they get treated, I think know its just manipulation, jealousy, & greed from a cause of two accounts.

People are animals and generally speaking animals are tribal.  You can see it when observing football supporters.  People, whoever they are gravitate to people they perceive as being like them.  If they cannot identify with people from another race, then they may be perceived as racist.

I think the main cause is FEAR and MISUNDERSTANDING of other races. People are fed so many stereotypes throughout their lives that it seem reasonable to be racist. In addition I think it has to do with being proud of your own race. this attitude is not all bad but when used to feel superior to another race is despicable. FEAR, MISUNDERSTANDING AND CHAUVANISTIC PRIDE.

The same thing that causes a bunch of 7 year old girls to pick on each other. Because they can. Because humans get away with doing it and no one stops them until it's set in as a way of life. You can get a group of people to form around a common hate much easeir than you can gather people around a common love. Baptists love to hate Pentecostals. The divisions in societies are endless. Some are productive. Like leaders only at a say a government conference. But racism is bullying. In the US when none stopped them, the native peoples were hunted down and tormented. When it was prevented, the predators just found themselves new victims. This is true in the years since picking on the descendants of their old slave trade was no longer tolerated. People just found new victims. That is the way society is. Everywhere. Some are worse than others. Some police themselves better than others. A society that hates women is not any different than hating a race instead. IT's all the same con ept. It is picking on those whom it can get away with picking on. Be it only one color, one tribe, one s*x, one age group. It's all the same thing. To have rampant racism in a country means the leaders are allowing it to manifest there, verses against a group that is not of racial makeup.

people who are to set in their own ways to realise the world has moved on and everybody should be accepted. people dont understand it really doesn't matter what colour you are and what you belive in and they are so stupid at the fact that people are actually all the same and they have no right to group people.

Ignorance and lack of education.  I think that family values do also, as people who are racist tend to have racist familys.  The only way to stamp out racism is to educate against it.

GO to BBC Iplayer and watch last nights Have I Got News For You - they had a black dude on who was making alot of jokes about racism.  He really turned it on it's head and was hilarious!

nothing realy causes it. well actually yeah. when people see a noticeable amount of people of the same race acting some way, that is how stereo types start. for ex: the ghettos have mostly black people right? ( not to be racist just using an example or a stereo type ).  there are alot of shooting in the ghettos. therefore, " all blacks carry guns and are criminals ".

that is one stereo type.

Lack of education, lack of a chance to travel around the world thus get to know other races and cultures, ignorance, ego, sometimes caused by the upbringing of family education .( I once heard a black kid told me that his parents told him to hate the white English in his childhood )
