What causes raspberry fruits in Western OR to have tan colored sectors, even when fruit is completely ripe?

These are tan colored drupes, always contiguous. The discolored areas appear to have no anthocyanin while the adjacent drupes are normally pigmented.

  1. its alright it just looks like that because either it hasn't got enough water or it was damaged by the sun. but don't worry they are still fine to eat


  2. it can be due to that part of the berry being shaded by a leaf.
