  1. 3rd world is the name given to nation that are generally considered underdeveloped economically during the 20th century. 3rd world countries has a relatively low overall standard of living, an underdeveloped industrial base and a moderate to low HDI score and per capita income, but is in a phase of economic development.

    Poor, unproductive land, few employment opportunities and the simple need to survive often lead to the breakup of rural communities. Those who can, head for towns and cities to look for work.

    Cities of the 3rd world are known for the pressure urban migration can bring housing and the environment. Often people arrive from rural areas and find a living on the streets living in makeshift sub-standard accommodation before establishing themselves and their families more permanently. A large number of organizations work in poor urban areas of 3rd world.

    These are the causes of rural - urban migration  in 3rd world countries.
