  1. The earth spins on an axis and tilts throughout the year causing the seasons.


  2. Earth's orbit is elliptical and at different times of the year we are either closer to or farther away from the sun, that and the earth's slight angled titlt causes the temps to go up and down and the light duration to get longer and shorter.... thereby causing seasons.
