Basically, my training shoes are foul and I would love any suggestions to remove the smell. I don't suffer from foot odour and I always wear socks, just to note.

  1. wash out the inserts if they are removable.  spray the inside with febreeze.  that's what we do.  works great.

  2. Buy some ODOR EATERS at Walmart.  They work great.

  3. don't wear the same pair of shoes two days in a row and a little shoe powder would not hurt

  4. Problably your feet are just sweating, and some of the moisture from the sweat is getting into the shoes and over a period of time gets smelly. To help your shoes smell better, try baby powder. Johnson and Johnson smells best. Just sprinkle a little in the bottom of your shoes and that should make your shoes smell better.

  5. Even if you don't have stinky feet problems, your feet sweat in your tennies and the accumulated sweat starts to stink.  Do you change your socks each time you wear your shoes?  Are you getting your socks clean when washing?  Can you possibly wash your shoes in the washing machine and air dry them-stuffed with newspaper to keep their shape?  If you don't want to wash them, sprinkle a liberal amount of baking soda into the shoes and let them sit for a couple of days.  Then knock the baking soda out and spray well with a sanitizing spray like Lysol.  You could even spray them with Febreze.  It would also help that prior to putting your shoes on, spray your bare feet with a deodorant spray.  You don't need to use spray made especially for feet, just any anti-perspirent spray will do....Sure, Right Guard, whatever.  Just make sure its anti-perspirent so it helps keep your feet dry.
