  1. Maybe this link might help : http://listsearches.rootsweb.com/th/read...

  2. I can't help you out sorry, but I'm keeping track of the sites as my globes are getting cloudy too.

    Thanks for the help.

  3. I have never tried this  just a  suggestion so experiment with a cheap one.  On the ones I've seen on the bottom is a plug, see if you can pop it out. If so drain and flush the old stuff with distilled water, you may need a syringe to inject it as it's a small hole. Replace the old stuff with some from a new cheap one.

As I'm typing I realized that the hole may not be big enough to get the old stuff out.....

  4. Globes will get cloudy with time and frequent use. The bacterial in there been building up and when it's cloudy, it reached a noticible point.

Hopefully your globes have stoppers on the bottom. As to what liquid to replace it with, look at kitty's refernce site. If there is no plug, decide how much does a particular globe worth to you, in a non-monetary way ... cuz to get it repair would most likely cost at much or more than the original price.

  5. Oh that happens when they are old and slopted. i know it sounds weird but when they arent on a stable flat surface and shaked and used frguatly then they get cloudy. So to prevent it just keep on a flat sturdy surface while shaking it every now and then. Good luck!

P.S. My father has a gift shop and i know this from him. He has it for 30 years so trust its right.
