well because the ruling party (Chinese Communist Party) is legally the only party (therefore not facing any competition) sees its politicians become entrenched, leading to the fact that they do not fear losing their jobs and thus no longer attempt to actually do their job, but instead to get money to themselves and their supporters

Communism does not work because it takes away the right of the entrepreneur to make himself rich , so you get corruption as everybody is trying to hide his gains from the view of there government . In other words Communism stifles a natural human urge to make more money

China is no worse nor better than anywhere else. Other nations just call it fraud, or insider dealing, or industrial espionage. It all amounts to corruption and greed.
