  1. The Cronulla riots started after Lifeguards at a Cronulla beach were bashed by middle eastern people.

At the moment in Camden (a smallish rural town over an hour from Sydney) are having a battle of residents over the application (which many are against) for an Islamic School in their small township. There has even been a pig head left on the proposed sight.

Gang rape gets our blood boiling, children being hurt/murdered, drug addicts, government trying to take advantage of us. The same as every other country, I would assume.

  2. Exactly the same thing that causes similar conflicts in other countries. One group of people is intolerant of the beliefs and/or existence of another group and expresses their views through violence.

Fortunately, in Australia this type of violent conflict is very rare. There was quite a bit of history behind this particular incident and both 'sides' (not including the innocent victim in your example) acted in a way that is completely unacceptable to the wider Australian community.

  3. Its the same reasons why it happens in the rest of the world..

Because of a few idiots, stuff like that happens.. Its stupid..
