  1. The baldness on the ossicones of some giraffe's can be used to s*x them in the wild. They result from 'neck fighting' - an activity in which only the males engage


  2. With a name like leopardtracker I'd think you'd know that these aren't bald patches, they're spots like leopards and other animals have. They each have a unique pattern of spots which may help them tell each other apart.

  3. If you do see bald patches on captive giraffes, it could be because they're rubbing themselves on something. I know some  giraffes who are a little bald atop their ossicones. No idea why - it could be like male pattern baldness, LOL.
