  1. The formation of different types of clouds depends upon, stability of the atmosphere , moisture content, upper winds, movement of frontes etc.

If the atmosphere is unstable, convection takes place and cumuliform type(more vertical growth) clouds like cumulus, cumulonimbus etc., develop. It the atmosphere is stable, stratiform clouds(sheet-like without vertical growth) like, stratocumulus, altostratus, cirrostrraus etc., clouds form .Sometimes the moisture content is different at different layers(due to winds) and the clouds form in different heights.Somtimes winds bring clouds formed at other places.Somtimes topography (mountains, nearby sea) decide the type of clouds.Sometime, storms and weather front bring different type of clouds. Thus there are many factors which decide the type of clouds over a place.

  2. clouds are nothing but an assemblage of the suspended water drops congenial with each other. these loosely bound droplets sometimes join and some times depart forming different clouds....hope u get useful out of it...

  3. Different amounts of moisture in the air, coupled with up-drafts and wind shear.

  4. Different temperatures and pressures in the lower  and upper atmospheres
