What causes the eruption of volcanoes?

I really need some answers as they are regarding some homework that I got. I need to find out what are some processs which encourage volcanic eruptions.

friction between the slow moving currents and the plates cause the plates 2 move...the magma soes up through the vent and once it cums out of the vent it cools and hardens forming lava!lol

Volcanoes have a mixture of superheated steam and magma. When that mixture gets too compressed, pressure builds underneath the mountain. After a while, the pressure is too much and the steam and magma gets released in a volcanic eruption.

tectonic plates on the earths crust cause volcanoes. some plates are moving towards each other, while some move away. the gaps between tectonic plates is where volcanoes and mountain ranges occur. the magma underneath the earths crust is forced into these gaps when plates move away from each other, causing volcanic eruptions.

Unlike other mountains, which are pushed up from below, volcanoes are built by surface accumulation of their eruptive products - layers of lava, ash flows, and ash. since the magma is always building up pressure and the earth is always spinning, it sometimes causes a crack in the earth. The two sides of the crack may shift. This is called plate tectonics, known to be the cause of volcanic eruptions. The magma will burst through the crack. When magma comes out or erupts, it is called lava. If this crack is in the ocean, an island can be created. After it erupts numerous times, a cone is created. When there is an eruption in a volcano, the place where pressure builds up and where the magma is is called the magma chamber.
