What causes the male sexual organ to inflate when there are no ladies around?

I know a man gets a stiff when he sees a pretty lady who he wants to take to bed with him but why does he also get a stiff one when there is not a woman in sight?

lol.... this is just how your body works. There neednt be a sexual stimulus to get an erection. For instance, while you are asleep, you get aorund 9 erections during REM sleep. We all do.

During puberty you will get more random erections and this is because of your high testosterone (hormone) levels. This settles down as you age... but doesn't completely stop.

it just happens; erections do not need any girls, or stuff, just a simple thought creates them--it all is affected by the mind.  The male is more prone to get an erection by visual aides but not always--wet dreams.  The best thing you can do is learn how to hide it.
