What causes the rise and fall of temperature?

Imagine that there's no elements...no sun, no water...nothing.

Can there be a sudden rise and fall of temperature in that condition?

  1. If there's nothing, there's no energy, and thus no temperature, not even absolute zero.  Because nothing is absolutly nothing.
