Is it,1) the presence of sustained high pressures over the poles and low pressures over the equator, and the Coriolis effect. 2) the action of the jet stream, along with the presence of low pressures over the poles. 3) the high insolation over the poles and low insolation over the equator, along with the Coriolis effect. Or 4) the presence of sustained jet streams over the poles and trade winds over the equator.
