  1. Rainbows happen when the moisture in the air (when it's raining) is hit by the sunrays.  I know there's a much more technical explaination...but I don't know that one.

  2. the colors in a Rainbow are like the reflections in the rain and moisture in the air after it.. well rains..

and i dont know why it does that!

my family and i got stuck in a terrible storm this evening. the wind almost blew our car off the road.. and the storm was in every direction of us so it was almost impossible to get out of! and there were tornado warnings where we were-- since we were out of town we would have had no where to go! very scary!

love storms. love rainbows. hate tornados.

  3. I just asked the same thing almost, we must be near one another. ITs like BRIGHT orange out and theres a rainbow. Im freaking out cause its light through my miniblinds

  4. rainbows are arcs of coloured light formed when the Suns rays are reflected and refracted (bent) by drops of water in the air - falling rain or spray. the colours in rainbows are red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo and violet. a rainbow with red on the outside and violet on the inside is called a primary bow. sometimes, the light is reflected twice and the colours are reversed in a secondary bow.

only half of a rainbow is visible, the lower half being cut off by the ground. a complete circle can be seen from an aeroplane.
