What causes this to your teeth?

Okay I have braces and I have seen some people with braces have like stained teeth and like brownish or white not normal stains on there teeth(the ones who have braces)....so is it cause by soda like dark soda or any soda or is it that they don't brush their teeth so before I keep drinking soda I want to know...help?

Well it could be from not brushing enough or to much soda. But I have a friend that got hes braces off and his teeth have like a brown tint to them but his doctor said it was all genetics so maybe all of the people you know were born with it.

Most of the discoloration is because of the glue they put on your teeth for braces.  When I had braces I was afraid of the same thing you were.  So I drank soda through a straw and it made no difference lol.  After you get your braces off you can get your teeth whitened which costs less than $300.00.  Don't worry it is not a permanent problem.  Good luck with braces they totally suck but in the end they are worth it!

the material they put the braces on with stains really easy, so watch the soda drinking.  Using an electric toothbrush and waterpik really helps.  also, don't forget to get your teeth cleaned as normal.  the hygienist has special tools that can remove the stains good luck
