What causes vaginal discharge?

I've been having a white/clearish, sometimes yellowish discharge from my v****a almost everyday for over a year now. Sometimes I get a littIe itch in the urethra and I 'try' to scratch it but don't know exactly where it's coming from. I didn't take serious notice of it until now. I don't have any other symptoms except for that. I only had one sexual partner when this first started, but I know for a fact that he was clean. I started worrying about it more and more after we broke up because since then I've had a few sexual partners. What could this be??

  4. You normally should have a thin white to clear discharge.  This is a antural way for your v****a to cleanse itself.  But if you have a thick white curdy discharge and itching it could be yeast.  If you have a white to yellow one and a fishy odor especially after s*x, it could be bacterial vaginitis.  But sometimes yellow means an STD.  You should see the MD to make sure because you dont want an unknown infection untreated for a long time.  It can cause major problems in a woman.
