What causes vitamin deficency and is it serious?

doc tk blood last week came back vitamin deficency saw doc today he says need to do more bloods to check for whatever is causing it anyone no what might be up

having had symptoms of anxiety for 2 weekss now all leads to this blood test being abnormal

Lack of Vitamin D and K can lead to cardiovascular disease, hypertension, MS, Arterial sclerosis..

There are many different vitamin deficiencies that cause many different things. You will have to wait and see what your doctor says.. I know that isn't much comfort and I am sorry I could not help further but there are too many different vitamins and minerals that exist that can cause these issues

1 our food does not have the nutrients in it like it use to.  So you are not getting the nutrients.

#2 if you are eating a lot of processed foods, you are getting no nutrition and very little to no vitamins

#3 if you are taking supplements, then they are probably garbage and not in the form the body needs to use them.  Also, if they are low grade, then I wouldn't expect much out of them.

Anxiety can be caused by vitamin deficiency, for sure. So can a lot of other problems. Try hard to mellow and not worry about this.

Vitamin deficiencies are usually caused by bad food planning habits. Some are also caused by other medications or food supplements.

Always get copies of your blood work results from the office. Keep these in a notebook so you can refer back to them to see if you are making progress on getting things back in order. I have a "medical" notebook where I keep copies of blood tests, any websearches on medications, conditions, and food plans I go searching for. I take a notebook with me to the doctor's office also to make notes so I don't forget anything they say to do or not do. Note book also has a list of questions I want the doctor to answer and the answers to them.
