Women cheat to get what they want from another man because their current man isn't fulfilling that part of them, such as telling them they're beautiful, s**y, an angel,  has more money( not that this is a reason, it can be for some, but some women can cheat with an uglier-poorer man for sexual reasons or to make themselves feel wanted)

They may not even realize it at the time that they were trying to be fulfilled with something they were missing but usually that's the reason.

Nothing causes a woman to cheat...either she will or she won't all on her own.  She can use many excuses to justify her cheating like her husband/boyfriend's not there for her, he doesn't meet her needs, their s*x life sucks, etc.  But what it ultimately comes down to is that being in a relationship is hard work and if a woman doesn't want to put forth the effort to try and make her own relationship better, going out and finding someone to cheat with is much easier.
