What causes you to actually CRY while you are dreaming?

Lately I have been having dreams that involve my boyfriend cheating on me. In waking life this would never happen, things are great and from what I've learned it only means I'm afraid of facing some issue or afraid of abandonment. But the next to last one I had I woke up literally sobbing and then started crying right away....bawling....my boyfriend actually had to wake me up out of it a second time. Then in this last dream I was able to yell and hit people, which NEVER happens. Usually if I yell it comes out as a whisper and if I get into a fight my punches always swing past like someone is holding my arms. But not last night. I was going around hitting EVERYBODY. Not for no reason though. But still, never happened before and I also woke up catching my breath like I had been sobbing or holding it in. Any hints how I can get rid of these dreams?

  1. The dream suggests you are having some type of major conflict in your life.  Since your boyfriend is the main character in the dream, it would seem these conflicts are related to your relationship with him.   So, the dream indicates you need to review your relationship with your boyfriend and see what it is you are missing that is generating so much anger in you.

  2. Crying is one of the emotions we have in our human lives

Some people will cry when they watch TV.  Subconsciously, they know TV programs show stuff that are not real and they subconsciously fall for it anyway. Crying is a reaction and acknowledgment of things we feel bad or sometimes happy about.

Same goes with the dream, crying is way different from yelling. Crying comes from tears and that is from our direct nerve system to the eyes. Yelling has to come from vocal cord, and somehow only nightmare or very bad dream will stimulate our brains to have it yelled out while sleeping.

To stop dreams like those which may cause waking reaction such as catching your breath, or crying, you need to relax more in reality.  Perhaps, exercise and some drink like milk will help.  Also, some medicine will also provide the benefit of relaxing the nerve system or the brain, you may want to see the doctor for the relaxant or relaxation medicine.

  3. now this may sound weird though someone can control dreams by using sound waves someone my be doing that or your afraid that he will cheat on you but won't admit it. And whenever your close to somebody u love and are dreaming you will dream bad dreams about them

  4. To dream that you hit something or someone, is symbolic of unexpressed anger and aggression. You tend to keep your negative feelings inside instead of expressing them in a healthy way.

To wake up crying, represents some suppressed hurt or previous trauma that is coming up to the surface. You can no longer suppress these emotions. They need to be dealt with head on.

To dream that you are crying, signifies a release of negative emotions that is more likely caused by some waking situation rather than the events of the dream itself. Your dream is a way to regain some emotional balance and a way to safely let out your fears and frustrations. In our daily lives, we tend to ignore, deny, or repress our feelings. But in our dream state, our defense mechanisms are no longer on guard and thus allow for the release of such emotions.
