What causes you to lose your voce for a year? nt even enough to order food in a drive through?

I have a friend who sings, and sang for years then lost his voice alltogether for a year. was he singing wrong? what causes this and how can it be prevented, I am a singer also. thanks

I am not for sure which deficiency it is but you can look thru the middle section of this website and click on the minerals and find the symptoms he is having.
