Okay I know this is really odd but I woke up this morning and my middle toes on both feet were numb. They have been like his all day and it is really bothering me and uncomfortable to walk. Any idea what caused this? I wore high heels last night and they were really hurting my feet at the end of the night but not really specifically my toes.

  1. When I wear high heels, my toes get numb.   I didn't always notice it the same evening.  The feeling should return in a day or two.  If it doesn't you should see a podiatrist.

  2. the heels likely bruised a nerve in your foot.  for some common things check out http://www.rrca.org/resources/articles/s...

When a nerve is injured, it usually results in paresthesia, which is an alteration in sensation, and may feel like pins and needles, numbness, or a sharp or burning pain. Very often, eliminating the cause of the irritation resolves these problems; however, if the irritation is left untreated, more serious problems can develop. The areas of the foot where active people most commonly experience these nerve problems are the toes, the inside of the ankle, and the top of the foot.

for am image of where the nerves are check out http://www.netterimages.com/image/3968.h...  yellow structures are nerves.

there are many endings of nerves in the foot and this website is about reflexology *see below and gives info about massaging the feet. but the short version is to massage them. gently without too much pressure cause you dont know what nerve is yelling at you.

cause- the pretty shoes (ya I like them too and will continue to wear them) aggravated one of the nerves. give feet a rub  often and rest em should resolve quickly. if not. go to doc and get it diagnosed
