What causes your dodge truck to sputter?

i have oil, trans, or radiator fluid on my belt and around the fan & water pump, yesterday it started making a funny noise like a rattle and then the temp gauge went over normal, i pulled into the driveway and hit the gas a little and it made a air like wistle noise. turned it off opened the hood and i noticed the fluid in those places and also on the inside of the hood. crunk it up today for about 10mins hit the gas and it sputters but i dont notice much fluid if any.
do you think it is the water pump or something else, thanks
